David and Gillian both have a wide experience playing various types of dance music in the UK and abroad.

David has played for SCD classes since he was 16 and went on to form his own band at 19.  To celebrate the RSCDS Centenary in 2023 the band recorded Book 53 and played at the Centenary Ball in the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh. In the November of that year the band recorded a special session for Take the Floor to coincide with the Centenary weekend. David regularly plays at the RSCDS Summer School and has been a tutor at the Summer School musicians week.

Gillian teaches violin to both private pupils and with Feis Rois in schools, teaching weekly classes and residential weeks within Highland area. She has been a tutor at the RSCDS Summer School musicians week since 2017 and more recently a residential musicians workshop in Lyon. Gillian is in demand as a soloist, fiddle adjudicator and playing in various bands.
